We are seeking a compassionate and motivated School Chaplain tojoin our Carinity Schools community.
In this role, you will providesocial, emotional, and spiritual support to students, parents, andstaff, fostering a caring Christian environment and supporting aquality education experience for disadvantaged youth.
As a Chaplain, you will work within the Christian ethos ofCarinity, developing meaningful relationships, providing pastoralcare, and supporting students through social, emotional, andacademic challenges.
You will also assist in school events,lunchtime groups, and Christian programs, promoting a positive andinclusive school culture.
Your day-to-day will involve:
Provide pastoral care and counselling to students, parents,and staff, including support for students facing familybreakdown, abuse, neglect, or mental health challengesFacilitate Christian-based activities, such as prayergroups, Bible studies, and personal development programsCollaborate with teaching staff, Behaviour Support Workers,and external professionals to support student wellbeingParticipate in school assemblies, events, camps,excursions,



and graduationsMaintain accurate records of student support and progress,ensuring confidentialityBuild and maintain strong relationships with the widerschool community, including parents, volunteers, localchurches, and referral agencies
About you:
You are a committed Christian who is passionate about supportingyouth and their families.
You bring empathy, excellentcommunication skills, and the ability to collaborate with students,staff, and external professionals.
You are organised, adaptable,and proactive in fostering a safe, supportive, and values-drivenschool environment.
Certificate IV in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care (orequivalent) with mandatory units in Mental Health, MakingAppropriate Referrals, and Providing Pastoral Care or Workingwith YouthDemonstrated experience in school chaplaincy, pastoralcare, counselling, or working with marginalised youthCurrent Blue Card and Driver's LicenceSkilled in Microsoft Office Suite and time management,conflict resolution, and collaborative decision-makingHighly developed interpersonal and communication skills
