Turbo Lizard Pty Ltd t/a Ultra Tune Mount Barker are currently seeking a Motor Mechanic to join our Ultra Tune team in a full-time role.
Our ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to diagnose and repair vehicles while communicating effectively in English.
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
Perform routine servicing on light vehicles, including manufacturer logbook servicing, oil and filter changes, fluid top-ups, and general maintenance.
Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and manufacturer service information.
Repair and replace worn or damaged parts, including brakes, suspension components, steering parts, batteries, and engine components.
Remove, repair, and refit engines, transmissions, and other mechanical assemblies as required.
Carry out brake, suspension, steering, and transmission repairs to restore vehicle safety and performance.
Perform wheel alignments, tyre fitting, balancing, and puncture repairs to ensure safe vehicle operation.
Service and maintain vehicle air conditioning systems and replace faulty components where necessary.
Conduct vehicle safety and roadworthy inspections, identifying defects and recommending suitable repairs.
Test vehicles after servicing and repairs to ensure all systems operate correctly and meet manufacturer standards.
Maintain accurate service records and explain repair findings and maintenance recommendations to customers.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures while keeping the workshop clean, organised, and efficient.
Applicants must hold a relevant trade qualification AQF Certificate IV with at least one year of relevant experience.
Alternatively, at least three years of full time relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification.
Candidates will also display:
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults.
Proficiency in servicing and maintaining light vehicles to manufacturer specifications.
Experience in repairing engine, transmission, steering, suspension, and braking systems.
Competence in using automotive diagnostic equipment and specialised workshop tools.
Ability to inspect, test, and verify vehicle performance while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
A salary of $79,000 - $85,000 per annum + superannuation will be offered to the successful applicant.
