About MCIS
MCIS is a trusted Western Australian provider of hydraulic, pneumatic, torque, lifting, and specialised tooling services, supporting the mining, construction, and industrial sectors with inspection, calibration, repair, and compliance solutions.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and hands-on Hydraulic Technician to join our team.
This role is primarily workshop-based, with opportunities to support our field service team on mine sites across Western Australia when required.

The Role
As a Hydraulic Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring customer equipment is repaired, tested, calibrated, and returned to service safely and efficiently.
You will work on a diverse range of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and specialised tooling equipment while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and customer service.
Workshop Responsibilities
Equipment strip-down, inspection, fault diagnosis, and reporting.
Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment repairs and rebuilds.
Equipment testing, certification, and calibration.
Completion of job documentation, testing reports, and service records.
Application of compliance and certification labels.
Equipment cleaning, preparation, and painting.
Maintaining a safe, organised, and professional workshop environment.
Assisting with stock control and workshop housekeeping as required.
Asset Management across all equipment you interact with.
Liaise with relevant Warehouse & Admin personnel.
Field Service Responsibilities
Support field service technicians on mine sites throughout Western Australia.
Conduct inspections and testing of hydraulic and specialised tooling equipment.
Calibration of hydraulic, pneumatic, battery-powered, and linear tooling.
Capture and record inspection, testing,



and calibration results within company asset management systems.
Deliver professional technical support and customer service on-site.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, or industrial equipment.
Sound fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
A strong focus on safety and compliance.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness.
A practical approach to problem-solving.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
The flexibility to travel to mine sites when required.
A current Australian Driver's Licence.
Desirable Experience
While not essential, the following will be highly regarded:
Hydraulic, mechanical, fitting, or trade qualification.
Experience in mining, industrial maintenance, or workshop environments.
Experience with equipment calibration, testing, inspection, or compliance reporting.
Forklift Licence.
High Risk Work Licences.
Current mine site inductions and tickets.
