Job Description
The Prospect We are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Officer to join a prominent State Government department based in Perth.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value government projects, ensuring commercial integrity and compliance across the full contract life cycle.
The Benefits: Competitive Pay: $***** - $***** per hour + Super (depending on experience).

Location: CBD location with excellent public transport access.
Contract Length: Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities: Contract Life cycle Management: Assist in the development, negotiation, and award of contracts in accordance with government procurement frameworks.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure all contract activities align with
State Supply Commission policies and the Financial Management Act .
Performance Monitoring: Track contractor performance, manage variations, and ensure key milestones and KPIs are met.
Stakeholder Liaison: Provide expert advice to internal project managers and external vendors regarding contractual obligations.
Reporting: Prepare high-quality procurement reports, briefing notes, and business cases for senior management.
What You Bring:




Government Experience: Previous experience within a WA State Government contracts environment is highly regarded.
Expertise: A solid understanding of procurement processes, tender evaluations, and contract law.
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and legal documents.
