Kingborough Council is seeking an experienced Information and Records Management Coordinator to lead a range of information governance and records management activities.
Working with limited direction, you will provide specialist advice on information governance and recordkeeping, administer the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS), and support compliance with legislative, policy and security requirements.
You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of information management frameworks, processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist advice, guidance and training on information governance and records management.
Administer the EDRMS.
Build organisational capability in modern information governance and digital records practices
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and promote best-practice recordkeeping.
Ensure compliance with legislative, security and information governance requirements.
Prepare reports, briefings and mandatory reporting.
Support the adoption of recent technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will bring:
Experience in records management, information governance and management in a government or regulated environment.
Knowledge of recordkeeping requirements and State Archives standards.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
High levels of integrity, discretion and sound judgement.
Proven leadership capabilities, driving continuous improvement while supporting and developing your team.

Experience in a local government environment.
Knowledge of State Archives of Australia requirements and disposal authorities.
Experience managing audits, sentencing projects or administrative reviews.
