Your expertise will power NEXUS, Australia's mission-critical search and rescue platform, enabling emergency response teams to coordinate rescue operations and respond to pollution incidents when every second counts.

Experience Level: Principal (EL2 Equivalent) ?️ What You'll Do: ☕ Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications supporting NEXUS ? Build and enhance cloud-based backend services using AWS technologies ?️ Design Oracle database solutions, data models and stored procedures ? Develop and maintain REST and SOAP integrations using enterprise standards ⚙️ Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Git and related DevOps tooling ?️ Develop and maintain web interfaces using ReactJS,



HTML and CSS ? Implement automated testing and ensure software quality across the platform ? Produce detailed technical documentation and solution designs ? Participate in an on-call support roster for Australia's critical maritime safety platform ? What You'll Bring: ✅ Extensive enterprise Java development experience across complex environments ? Robust expertise with Spring Boot, REST APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON and enterprise integration ☁️ Hands-on AWS development experience including EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS and CloudFormation ?️ Strong Oracle database development and data modelling skills ? Experience working with Linux, Unix and Bash scripting ? Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing and modern software engineering practices ? Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in highly technical teams ? A commitment to delivering secure, robust and maintainable software solutions ?
