Job Requirements – Hnry BAS Lodger (Contract / Part time)
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Australian BAS Lodger who is proficient in using the Hnry, Xero, Stripe, and MYOB platforms to prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) for Australian businesses.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated experience using Hnry for BAS preparation and lodgement.Strong understanding of Australian GST legislation and BAS reporting requirements.Knowledge of quarterly BAS reporting obligations for businesses with annual GST turnover under $20 million.Ability to accurately reconcile GST collected on sales and GST paid on business purchases.Understanding of PAYG Withholding and PAYG Instalments.Experience reviewing financial records to ensure BAS accuracy before lodgement.Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.Familiarity with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) BAS requirements and lodgement procedures.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent organisational and time management skills,



with the ability to meet strict ATO deadlines.Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality of financial information.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Skills
Bookkeeping or accounting qualifications.Experience with Australian small businesses and sole traders.Knowledge of cash and accrual accounting methods.Experience working with cloud-based accounting systems.Registered BAS Agent (or working under the supervision of a registered BAS Agent) is highly regarded.
Responsibilities
Prepare and lodge quarterly BAS using Hnry.Review financial transactions for GST compliance.Ensure all BAS submissions are completed accurately and on time.Communicate with clients regarding missing information or discrepancies.Maintain accurate records of BAS lodgements and supporting documentation.Liaise with the ATO where required.Assist with general bookkeeping and GST-related enquiries as needed.
