Role Description The Compressor Service Technician is a full time, on-site role based in the Greater Perth Area.
This role is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing stationary and fixed plant compressors at customer sites and in the workshop.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting diagnostic assessments, performing routine and preventative maintenance, installing compressor spare parts and accessories, and ensuring proper air filtration and conditioning systems are in place.
The technician will document service activities, complete inspection reports, follow safety procedures,
and communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors and customers.
The role may require occasional after-hours work, travel within the region, and close collaboration with other technicians and service coordinators.
Qualifications
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with industrial machinery, preferably air compressors or similar equipment.Ability to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on stationary and fixed plant compressors and related systems.Knowledge of air filtration, conditioning, and pneumatics, including safe handling of pressurized systems.Competence in reading technical drawings, manuals, and schematics, and using standard workshop and test tools.Commitment to safety standards, risk assessment, and adherence to relevant regulations and company procedures.Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams, including clear documentation of work performed.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites in the Greater Perth Area as required.Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Industrial Maintenance, or similar) or equivalent experience in a technical service role.Ability to work independently, manage time and tasks efficiently, and adapt to changing service priorities.
