About the Role
The Assistant Science Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling teaching duties and employing various management strategies and technologies to execute leadership tasks within the Science faculty.
This role involves overseeing and enhancing the quality of science teaching and learning, guiding and implementing curriculum changes, and ensuring consistent, high-quality program delivery across the school.
This role supports teachers to deliver curriculum-aligned lessons using effective, evidence-informed teaching strategies and resources that make science relevant, accessible, and connected to real-world contexts, manages student behaviour, organises and supervises relief staff, and uses regular assessment and feedback data to monitor progress and inform student learning outcomes.
Working in partnership with teachers, students, and families, this role collaborates with colleagues to design, develop,



and achieve the objectives outlined in the school's annual improvement plan.

Qualifications and Eligibility
Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Master of Teaching
ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
