What you'll be doing
To - Provide high level Secretarial and Administrative services
To - Assist teams in their clinical roles e.g. (including but not limited to) scheduling appointments, transcription typing of clinical letters, answering and responding to telephone enquiries, managing referrals, processing invoices, bulk billing, updating and maintaining patient information via databases, coordinating clinics through the patient scheduling system, as well as organising patients files that are required for the medical teams, Healthroster data entry and roster creation through roster demand template/s for department staff members.
To - Exercise initiative in the application of established day to day work practices and procedures in the department such as prioritizing workload and ensuring tasks are met within a timely manner.
To - Communicate with clinicians and non-medical personnel on behalf of the department (both verbal and written).

Experience of at least 2 years administration working experience within a medical environment
Example of excellent communication and interpersonal skills involving key internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated typing experience with audio transcription equipment, accurate minimum typing speed of 60wpm
Demonstrated ability to learn or relevant experience with navigating various databases and scheduling systems
Knowledge and experience of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Word and Outlook, plus Excel
Example of ability to use initiative and work autonomously and as part of a team
Example of ability to prioritise workload and ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner
