Nursing Leaders - The Orthopaedic Ward at Royal North Shore Hospital is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse to lead the team in the role of Nursing Unit Manager.
The position is full time until February ****.
5W and 5E together make up 60 orthopaedic specialty beds within the Clinical Services Building at RNSH.
We are a major tertiary referral hospital as well as a trauma centre for NSW.
We have a agile nursing team as well as interdisciplinary team of allied health staff within our unit, with a strong focus on patient centred care.
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will manage a unit or ward in order to provide a quality standard of care to NSLHD Patients.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience,



or a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications, roster management systems and electronic medical records.
Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model within an established service.
Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focused care, clinical governance and quality improvement.
