career exploration and employment outcomes.Role RequirementsRelevant teaching qualificationFull registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration as a Teacher in QueenslandAbility to teach within the Queensland secondary education curriculum, with experience or capability in Essential MathematicsStrong understanding of the needs of young people who may be disengaged or at risk of disengaging from educationStrong communication, relationship-building and teamwork skillsA genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their educational and career goalsThe SchoolA not-for-profit organisation with more than 47 years of experience supporting communities through employment services, vocational education and training, apprenticeships, mentoring, Inclusive Employment Support and allied health services.The school provides an alternative education program for Year 11 and 12 students who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from mainstream education.
Students benefit from a supportive and safe learning environment, with access to vocational education and training (VET), work experience, and school-based apprenticeships and traineeships.The dedicated team works closely with students to help them remain eligible for their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) while building employability and transferable skills and supporting positive pathways into employment, further training and education.
