This has resulted in the creation of a highly modular and scalable product suite, which have become integral to a wide range of critical Defence capabilities.The PositionAs the Systems Administrator Level 1 you will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance and support of IT systems, including desktops, Servers, Software applications and basic network troubleshooting.
The Systems Administrator will also provide cross functional support to other areas within the IT department as required.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct daily maintenance and support of Windows server.Maintain essential IT Operations, including servers, networks and business critical systems.Managing Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, GPO's, Exchange.Management of system backups and storage.Monitor server logs and systems/network performance.Implement/upgrade critical business systems as required.Security patching of systems.Keep abreast of new technologies and advise on potential uses.General support to the IT Division as requiredDocumentation of key processes and technical solutions.Six weeks of paid annual leave per yearSuperannuation of 14.0%Free car parkingPaid parental, compassionate,

Minimum 1 year professional experience in a System Administrator role.Positive knowledge and experience with both Windows and Linux in the enterprise.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of tools.Good knowledge of TCP/IP and network security.Robust interpersonal skills and capability to communicate effectively to a diverse skilled audience.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Tertiary qualification or Diploma, industry certifications in relevant fields.Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance – NV1 (with eligibility to uplift to NV2).
