Hunternet Career Connections – Sandgate NSWHunterNet Career Connections in partnership with Australian Industrial Plasticsare seeking a proactive and motivated individual to start immediately in Sandgate as a Trainee Plastic Fabricator.Australian Industrial Plasticsare a market leader, with the capacity to deliver various projects for a range of sectors including, but not limited to water, agriculture, construction, defence, energy, workplace, industry, infrastructure, manufacturing, and mining.We are looking for a hardworking individual with a strong work ethic who is interested in completing a Certificate in Engineering.
The successful applicant will complete this traineeship over 12 months while gaining on-the-job experience with an industry-leading company.As a Trainee your main duties will include:PE, PP & PVC pipe fabrication and installation within the workshop and worksite environmentsUse butt,
electrofusion and extrusion welding equipment alone with general hand toolsUnderstand and interpret isometric drawingsComplete all on and off the job training requirementsAttend TAFE and maintain a high standard of workWillingness to travel occasionallyWhat we're looking for:Exceptional commitment to workplace safetyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsSound level of organisational/planning abilityAbility to problem solve and work to deadlinesHigh attention to detailExperience in plastic welding/installationRelevant certificates in poly welding and extrusion welding of thermoplasticsWhite Card, Forklift licence, EWP, Excavator and Dogging ticketAs part of the recruitment process, suitable applicants will be required to complete apre-employment medical testing, including drug and alcohol screening.HunterNet Career Connections engages apprentices and trainees on behalf of employers, with the aim of achieving high quality outcomes through a partnership approach.HunterNet Career Connections is committed to a culturally diverse workforce and all applicants will receive consideration for employment without regards to any other characteristic protected by law.
