About the Role
As the Transport & Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of both transport and warehouse functions while driving performance, compliance, culture, and customer outcomes.
You will lead multiple operational teams and work closely with internal departments to ensure service delivery, operational excellence, and financial success.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Operations
Lead and manage transport and warehouse teams to achieve operational targetsOversee scheduling, fleet utilisation, and operational efficiencyWork closely with Fleet Maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and complianceEnsure adherence to Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVR regulations, and all legislative requirementsMonitor and improve DIFOT and other operational performance metricsDrive continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving strategiesManage escalations relating to transport, warehouse, HR, payroll,



and WHS mattersBuild and maintain robust customer relationships while ensuring high service levelsOversee SLA performance to ensure customer expectations are met or exceededLead workforce planning, driver recruitment, and operational culture initiatives
Warehouse Operations
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound container movementsEnsure staffing levels align with operational workload requirementsMaintain stock control integrity, including CHEP & LOSCAM accountabilityEnsure safe product handling and adherence to OH&S; proceduresManage contractors and unpack crews on-siteEnsure warehouse presentation, cleanliness, and organisation standards are maintainedOversee equipment maintenance and servicing schedulesPrepare operational and customer reporting as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience managing transport and warehouse operationsStrong leadership capability with experience coaching and developing teamsExposure to freight forwarding, logistics, or large-scale transport operationsExcellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skillsStrong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational costsHigh attention to detail and organisational capabilityA proactive and solutions-focused mindsetStrong understanding of safety, compliance, and operational legislationAbility to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Skills & Systems
Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & TeamsPower BI experience highly regardedDiploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to undertake)
