Architect / Draftsperson – Residential DesignFull Time | Hills District | $90,000 – $120,000 + Super (depending on experience)A well-established residential construction company specialising in granny flats and secondary dwellings is seeking an Architect or Draftsperson to join their team.Operating in Sydney for over 18 years, this business has built a solid reputation for delivering practical, well-designed secondary dwellings within the Sydney Metro area.This is an opportunity to join a stable and growing business where you will take ownership of the design function and work closely with project managers and clients to deliver high-quality, compliant designs.The RoleThis position will involve designing and documenting granny flats fromconcept through to construction drawings,



ensuring designs meet compliance requirements and are practical for construction.You will collaborate closely with the project management team and participate in client design meetings to customise layouts and finalise plans.Key responsibilities include:Preparing concept designs for granny flatsCustomising and modifying existing design templatesProducing detailed construction drawingsPreparing documentation including electrical layouts, bathroon elevations and basic kitchen layoutsEnsuring designs meet building compliance and development requirementsParticipating in client meetings alongside project managers to refine designsManaging multiple projects simultaneouslyAbout YouThe ideal individual will have:Experience in residential design, ideally granny flats or small/secondary dwellingsStrong understanding of Complying Development Certificates (CDC)Knowledge of stormwater, sewer and Sydney Water complianceExperience producing construction documentationAbility to work independently and manage multiple projectsStrong communication skills and confidence interacting with clientsProficient working with ArchiCADWhy You Will Love This RoleHours: 8:30am – 4:00pmDaily office closure for lunchFriendly and supportive environmentStable, long-established businessOpportunity to own the design functionConvenient Hills locationChristmas shutdown period
