We're looking for someone compassionate and motivated to join our team as an Employment Pathways Mentor.
You'll be supporting people with disability as they prepare for work, helping them build confidence, set goals, and take steps toward meaningful employment.
This is a full-time role - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.06pm ( 1 hour lunch break) based in Phillip, with occasional travel across the region to meet with customers and support their journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting people as they prepare for work through the IEA programHelping each person set goals and make a plan that suits their strengthsWorking with other team members to make sure support is well coordinatedPromoting inclusive and accessible workplacesTracking progress and adjusting plans when neededKeeping records accurate and up to dateRepresenting the organisation with kindness and professionalism
What we are looking for:
You don't need to come from employment services or disability support to succeed in this role.
If you've worked in education, customer service, community work, coaching, HR, Retail or Hospitality, you may already have the skills we're looking for:
Great communication and people skillsAbility to build trust and motivate othersOrganised and able to manage multiple tasksComfortable using digital tools and systems - in particular Microsoft Word and OutlookTeam player who enjoys working with othersPassionate about helping people reach their potential
What You'll Need:
A current Driver's LicenseCompliance Checks: Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check (or willingness to get them)A genuine interest in making workplaces more inclusive
