About the Role
We're looking for a driven and customer-focused Business Development Representative to join our team.
In this autonomous, field-based role, you'll be responsible for growing and developing a portfolio of existing and new customers while representing some of the industry's most respected electrical, automation and industrial technology brands.
With the support of a highly experienced team, leading technology partners, and a strong reputation in the market, you'll have the freedom to build your territory, develop long-term customer relationships, and help deliver innovative electrical solutions across Tasmania.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and grow relationships with key customers, contractors, wholesalers and end usersDrive sales growth and profitability across your assigned territoryIdentify,



pursue and win new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer partnershipsDevelop and execute account strategies to maximise customer growthPrepare and present quotations, proposals and tailored solutionsMaintain an active pipeline and accurate customer records through CRMMonitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunitiesCoordinate customer presentations, product demonstrations and training programsCollaborate with NHP specialists and internal teams to deliver complete electrical and automation solutions
What You'll Bring
Previous experience in Business Development, Territory Sales or Account ManagementElectrical trade qualifications, engineering qualifications or relevant industry experience (highly regarded)A robust commercial mindset and proven ability to achieve sales targetsExperience managing customer relationships and developing new business opportunitiesConfidence using CRM systems to manage pipelines and customer activityExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong time management and organisational skillsThe ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into practical business solutionsA proactive, self-motivated approach and passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
