This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation that offers excellent work-life balance, including the flexibility to work from home four days per week.About the RoleAn exciting contract opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a friendly and supportive payroll team.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll using Chris21.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and has previous experience processing payroll in a high-volume setting.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end payroll processing using Chris21;Maintaining accurate employee payroll records;Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments;Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment contracts;Responding to payroll-related enquiries from employees and stakeholders;Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and in line with legislative requirements;Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting; andSupporting the wider payroll team with ad hoc tasks as required.About YouPrevious experience processing end-to-end payroll;Demonstrated experience using Chris21 (essential);Strong understanding of payroll legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements;Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;Strong communication and customer service skills;Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team; andAvailable to commence at short notice or within a reasonable notice period.Key Skills & AttributesStrong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines;Ability to prioritise and manage workload in a fast-paced environment;Confident communicator, able to engage with a range of stakeholders;Team player with a willingness to support and coach others; andAbility to adapt quickly and manage changing priorities.In this role you will be working within a team reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, offering flexible working arrangements within a supportive, high-performing environment.We welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.Should you require reasonable adjustments or have a preferred method of communication throughout the recruitment process, we encourage you to make a request and contact the recruiter.
