Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation.
The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimizing stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere.Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), our location ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef.
The plant employs approximately 450 team members with a processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.An exciting opportunity exists for a Quality Assurance Officer at our Riverina Plant.

energetic individual who is committed to providing effective skilled service.RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct pre-operational hygiene assessment of manufacturing facilityMonitor daily all facets of customer specifications and regulatory requirementsParticipate in internal audits when requiredReport to the FSQA Management any inadequacy in approved programs or processing proceduresUndertake other related activities as directedKEY CRITERIA:Current Attainment of Ausmeat Accreditation is advantageousIndustry experience in Food Safety & Quality Assurance practices would be a strong advantageUnderstanding of quality assurance principles and HACCPSound computer skills (MS Office)Good interpersonal skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational & time management skillsSound computer and auditing skillsWell trained, motivated employees are the key to our success.
