This is primarily an inside sales role, with customer relationships developed predominantly through telephone, email and video conferencing, complemented by occasional customer visits, demonstrations, installations, training and scientific conferences.Some of your responsibilities will include:Responding to customer enquiries and understanding their scientific and technical requirementsRecommending appropriate scientific equipment, software and laboratory solutionsPreparing quotations and managing customer opportunities from initial enquiry through to completionBuilding long-term relationships with customers, end users and international supplier partnersCoordinating demonstrations, installations and customer training, both remotely and on-siteContinually learning recent technologies,



products and their scientific applicationsSuccess in this role isn't about being the smartest scientist in the room.
It's about listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, understanding customer needs and helping researchers achieve better outcomes.About YouThe successful candidate will have:A Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Physiology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or related field1–3+ years of experience in scientific equipment, laboratory environments or scientific sales rolesExperience working with researchers, clinicians, laboratory professionals or similar technical audiencesStrong communication skills, high integrity and a genuine curiosity to learn and continuously growExposure to scientific instrumentation, laboratory equipment, photonics or related technical technologiesBackground in customer service, applications support, laboratory research or technical training is highly regardedExperience with scientific instrumentation, photonics, imaging technologies, or optical instrumentation is highly regardedWe're particularly interested in candidates who have made a conscious decision to build a long-term career in commercial science and enjoy helping others achieve outstanding scientific outcomes.What's in it for You?
