Farmer Charlies Lismore is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Fruit/Veg/Grocery Storeperson to join our team in Lismore, NSW.
This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in ensuring our store operates smoothly and efficiently.
As a Storeperson, you will be responsible for fresh produce back of house operations, managing grocery stock, and creating an inviting shopping environment for our customers.
This role is essential to our retail operations and directly contributes to delivering an excellent customer experience and maintaining the quality standards Farmer Charlies is known for.Key responsibilitiesReceiving, unpacking and checking deliveries of fresh produce, vegetables, fruits and grocery items for quality and accuracyRotating stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure product freshness and minimise wasteMonitoring stock levels and alerting management when stock levels are low.Maintaining clean and hygienic storage areas, shelves and display zones in accordance with health and safety regulationsAssisting with the removal and disposal of damaged, expired or unsaleable goodsOperating relevant store equipment, including scales, labelling machines and refrigeration systemsAssisting with stock takes and inventory counts as requiredFollowing all company policies, procedures and health and safety guidelinesWhat we're looking forPrevious experience working as a storeperson, stock assistant or in a similar retail environment,



preferably with fresh produce or grocery itemsPhysical capability to lift and carry heavy items regularly, as well as stand for extended periodsExcellent attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain accurate stock managementA solid commitment to health and safety standards, particularly regarding food handling and storageReliable and punctual with a strong work ethicAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environmentBasic numeracy skills for stock management and inventory tasksWillingness to learn and adapt to new systems and proceduresPreferred: Forklift ticket but not essentialAbout usFarmer Charlies Lismore is a valued member of the local community, dedicated to providing quality fresh produce, vegetables and groceries to the residents of Lismore and the surrounding region.
