As the Administration Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the Safe City Unit through the delivery of efficient administrative services and exceptional customer support.
Reporting to the Manager Safe City Unit, you will provide administrative assistance with a broad range of functions, including document management, records administration, correspondence preparation, database maintenance and customer service support.

About the Role:
As the Administration Officer, you will:
Prepare and process a range of correspondence and documents, including emails, letters, notices, orders, reports, meeting agendas and minutes.
Register and maintain documents within Council's corporate records management system.
Provide administrative support to Team Leaders and Coordinators to assist in the delivery of Safe City Unit programs and services.
Maintain databases, undertake data entry and assist with mail-outs and reporting activities.
Assist with the processing of purchase orders and tax invoices.
Support debt recovery administration activities and maintain accurate records.
Maintain and update templates, procedures and administrative documentation.
Deliver responsive and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all administrative and records management activities.
What You'll Bring:
Higher School Certificate or equivalent, and/or significant relevant administrative experience.
TAFE Administration Certificate or equivalent qualification, and/or significant relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in an administrative support role within a busy workplace environment.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience in records management and document control processes.
Accurate and efficient data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A strong customer service focus and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
A willingness to learn, adapt and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of or experience working within Local Government, State Government or a similar environment.
Experience using Technology One and ECM records management systems.
