Are you a motivated Theatre Orderly Team Leader with excellent people skills?
About the roleBrisbane Private Hospital currently has 2 full time permanent positions available for experienced Theatre Orderly Team Leaders to join our established Perioperative team.
Both roles involve working across a rotating roster involving AM and PM shifts.As a Team Leader, you will ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatres and CSSD departments, whilst practising excellent customer service and maintaining the high operational standards within the Peri-Operative area.As Theatre Orderly Team Leader your responsibilities will include:Ability to lead a team to achieve tasks in a timely mannerEnsuring the standards of infection control are followed at all timesRostering & allocating team membersTransporting patient to and from the peri-operative suite, assisting within the operating theatre as delegated by the nursing teamProviding assistance with patient manual handling, ensuring patient trolleys/ beds are available in recovery at a timely mannerUndertake cleaning of the operating theatre between cases as per facility protocolsRestocking and unpacking as delegated and waste removal from peri-operative suiteEquipment manage and knowledge of how much is neededAbout usBrisbane Private is a 181 bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands.
Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT,



Rehabilitation and general surgery and delivery of Brisbane's leading private drug and alcohol programs from Damascus Health Services.Min 2 years' experience working in a hospital as an OrderlyAbility to work morning, afternoon, late, weekend and on call shiftsDemonstrated knowledge of Theatre EnvironmentDemonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skillsExceptional organisational skills and attention to detailIntermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data basesAn interest in promoting best practice patient careA focus on professional developmentAbility to work independently and within a teamAbility to prioritize jobs and work to time linesAbility to anticipate peri-operative unit non clinical needs and respond accordinglyQueensland laser licence (recommended but not mandatory)Why Healthscope?
