Casual Lecturers, Bachelor of Community Services- Immediate Start About the role CIHE Australia is seeking experienced and motivated sessional lecturers to join the Bachelor of Community Services academic team for an immediate start at our North Sydney campus.
Lecturers will deliver high-quality, student-centred teaching and assessment to culturally and linguistically diverse undergraduate students.
Applicants must combine relevant academic qualifications with current or recent qualified experience in the community services sector.
Teaching opportunities may be available across areas including counselling, case management, social policy, sociology, psychology, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, ageing, disability, child and family practice, domestic and family violence, community development, research, leadership, and professional practice.
What you'll be doing Preparing and delivering engaging lectures, tutorials and workshops.
Facilitating applied learning through case studies, simulations, group activities and reflective practice.
Marking assessments and providing timely, constructive feedback in accordance with CIHE requirements.
Supporting students to develop academic, professional and field-readiness skills.
Using Moodle and other educational technologies to support teaching and assessment.
Participating in moderation, assessment review and academic quality assurance processes.
Contributing to curriculum development and review where required.
Maintaining current knowledge of professional practice,



teaching approaches and developments within the community services sector.
Completing relevant professional development, including at least 20 hours of continuing professional development each year when teaching core units.
Essential requirements A postgraduate qualification in community services, social work, social welfare, human services, sociology, psychology, counselling, community development or another discipline directly related to the units they would teach At least two years of full-time equivalent relevant professional experience in the community services sector Demonstrated knowledge and practical understanding of contemporary community services practice Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills A commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching and supporting culturally and linguistically diverse students A commitment to academic integrity,



reflective teaching and continuous improvement Desirable requirements Previous teaching experience in an Australian higher education or VET setting A qualification in tertiary education or demonstrated professional development in teaching and learning Experience using Moodle or a comparable learning management system Knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework, TEQSA requirements and Community Work Australia accreditation expectations Current industry engagement or professional membership What we offer At CIHE, we foster a supportive, inclusive and collaborative academic environment.
