Industrial Cleaner/Hygiene Worker (Casual On-Call) Shepparton East, VICAre you an experienced Industrial Cleaner or Food Manufacturing worker looking for adaptable, on-call work?
We are seeking reliable and physically fit Hygiene Workers to join our team in Shepparton East.
This is an on-call casual position, meaning shifts are offered as operational requirements arise.
Applicants must be available to work at short notice when required.Important: Due to the nature of this role, applicants must live within 30 minutes of Shepparton East and have reliable transport.
Applicants outside this area will not be considered.About the Role As a Hygiene Worker, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitising production equipment, machinery, processing areas and factory floors within a food manufacturing environment.
This role is critical to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
Duties align with the Hygiene Worker position description and include cleaning production equipment, handling chemicals, operating high-pressure hoses, washing machinery, and maintaining sanitation standards throughout the facility.Shift TimesOn-call casual roleShifts offered as requiredTypical start time: 3:00 PMTypical finish time: 10:30 PM to 11:00 PMAvailability for afternoon and evening work is essentialWhat We're Looking For To be successful,
you must have:Previous experience in industrial cleaning, food manufacturing, or a similar production environmentExperience working safely around machinery and manufacturing equipmentA strong understanding of workplace hygiene and safety standardsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamReliable transport and the ability to attend shifts at short noticeA positive attitude, strong work ethic and reliable attendancePhysical Requirements This is a physically demanding role and you must be capable of:Standing and walking for extended periodsRepetitive cleaning, scrubbing and hosing dutiesFrequent pushing, pulling and manoeuvring of equipment and cartsRegular lifting and carrying of materials and equipment between *****kgWorking in a fast-paced industrial environmentWorking in confined and awkward positions when cleaning equipmentWorking with cleaning chemicals and following strict safety proceduresPPE & Working Conditions You will be required to wear full PPE, including:Steel cap bootsHearing protectionSafety gogglesGlovesChemical handling suits and protective clothingPlease note that these PPE requirements can make the work environment feel hot and physically demanding, so applicants must be comfortable working under these conditions.
