WISE are on the look out for aTeam Leader - Support Worker (NDIS) based within the Southport/Gold Coast region.
We're looking for a passionate and driven professional to lead the growth of our NDIS program at WISE.
The role of Team Leader - Support Worker (NDIS) will suit someone who thrives on building services from the ground up, developing strong community connections, supporting participants to achieve meaningful outcomes and shaping a high-quality program.
You will play a key role in expanding access to essential supports and establishing local partnerships.
This is an opportunity in advancing your career in leadership, in a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
In addition, the successful candidate will also provide direct supports to participants working alongside to build independence, achieving goals and ensure their individual needs, preferences and strengths are always at the heart of service delivery.
You will also be responsible for the delivery of a high quality of service, referrals, rostering, career development and supervision of a team of Support Workers and positive participant outcomes to ensure a streamlined service for all stakeholders of the NDIS@WISE team.
Please note the role is permanent part-time (up to 22.8hrs).
What we are looking for:
Experience in successfully leading or managing a team;
Proven experience in achieving desired program outcomes;
Well-developed knowledge of the Disability Services Sector;
Skills & experience in working with people with disability;
Ability to use initiative and handle a variety of activities concurrently and with minimal supervision;
Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
Strong organisational, time management and presentation skills;
Current drivers Licence, including own transport




Please note the following Mandatory Pre-employment Screenings will be required prior to being offered a role with WISE, these will include;
Australian National Police Check, including Right to work in Australia(conducted by WISE)
NDIS Workers Screening Check (fee payable by candidate)
Working with Children's check(WWCC)(fee payable by candidate)

About the program:
WISE is a successful not-for-profit organisation, committed to providing quality employment, training, occupational rehabilitation and allied health services to disadvantaged members of the community through a range of programs.
Through NDIS in Victoria, WISE provides supports for participants with current funding in their NDIS plans.
WISE specialises in the following areas of services and support for participants:
Social and Recreational Activity
Capacity Building in life and employment
School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)
Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate supports in conjunction with family/carers or other existing participant services (when appropriate)
A sound understanding of how to develop, monitor and regularly review individual participant plans in collaboration with participants and monitor their progress in achieving their goals
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, manage and monitor financial and budgetary resources and contractual obligations to forecast and deliver business performance
