We're looking for an experienced and pragmatic HR Manager to lead and deliver people solutions that support our growing business across Australia.Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this is a hands-on generalist role that combines strategic HR partnering with operational delivery.
You'll work closely with business leaders to provide advice, drive people initiatives, and ensure our people practices support both employee experience and business performance.About the roleAs HR Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to leaders across the business, providing practical and commercially focused HR support across the employee lifecycle.Key responsibilities include:Partnering with Managers and Leaders to provide coaching, guidance and support on people mattersLeading employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary processes and conflict resolutionSupporting workforce planning, organisational design and talent development initiativesDriving employee engagement, culture and wellbeing programsManaging HR policies, procedures and compliance with relevant employment legislation and awardsSupporting recruitment activities and talent acquisition strategies in partnership with hiring managersLeading onboarding and employee lifecycle processes to ensure a positive employee experienceProviding HR reporting, workforce insights and recommendations to support decision-makingContributing to change management,



integration and organisational development initiativesSupporting the continued integration of Amey Australia's people practices as part of the wider Amey GroupThis is a highly visible role that requires strong relationship-building skills, sound judgement and the ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational needs.What we're looking forMust have:Previous experience in a HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or similar roleStrong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations and HR best practiceDemonstrated experience managing employee relations matters and providing advice to managersExceptional stakeholder management and influencing skillsAbility to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organisationStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (Amey HRIS: HiBob)Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related disciplineNice to have:Experience supporting professional services, consulting, engineering or technical workforcesExperience working across multiple states within AustraliaExposure to organisational change,
