Construction Administrator - Commercial Projects

About the Role:
We are seeking a practical, organised, and proactive Construction Contracts Administrator to join our team based at our Yatala project office.
This is a hands-on support role working closely with the Project Manager and Site Supervisor to assist in keeping commercial construction projects running smoothly.
You will play a key role in coordinating between site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and office staff, ensuring schedules, contract dealings, procurement, and day-to-day project administration are managed efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone with construction and contract administration or project coordination experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple priorities.
Core Responsibilities:
Act as a key support person between the Project Manager and Site Supervisor
Coordinate daily site activities, trade scheduling, and supplier communications (including compliance, licences, insurances and WHS documentation)
Answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and project-related enquiries with trades & suppliers
Confirm subcontractors and trades for upcoming works and reschedule as required due to weather, site conditions, or program changes
Follow up suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders regarding quotes, delivery dates, documentation, and confirmations
Assist with maintaining and updating short-term construction programs and schedules
Keep project teams informed of upcoming works,



changes, and outstanding actions.
Run tender processes and evaluate trade quotes and negotiate contract terms and scope inclusions/exclusions
Administer progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and RFI tracking
About You:
Previous hands-on experience in construction, project coordination, contract administration, or a similar role, preferable in commercial construction
Confidence communicating with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and site personnel
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with construction teams
Experience with project documentation, procurement, and subcontractor coordination
Ability to read plans and understand construction documentation is advantageous
