As a Demi Chef at Village Roadshow Theme Parks, you'll be part of a passionate culinary team delivering high-quality dishes across a variety of venues.This role is perfect for a chef who thrives on variety, takes pride in their craft, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, safety, and presentation.Whether you're plating up for a crowd or crafting something special behind the scenes, your skills will help shape unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.Key ResponsibilitiesWork effectively within a team workplace to provide excellent internal service and to promote a positive working environmentApply and monitor food safety procedures to ensure all menu items are prepared and served in line with food safety standardsReport any issues that may affect kitchen operations immediately to the Chef de PartieEnsure portion control and food quality while maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work areaBe aware of meal times and the importance of speed,



time, efficiency and presentation of all mealsEnsure all guest special requests, including dietary needs, are acknowledgedMonitor and motivate team members to achieve a high standard of serviceConduct training and assess competency of team member's to assist in team development & mentoringLiaise with the Events Manager as & when required.Knowledge of market trends relating to food and menusWhat We're Looking ForCertificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant years of experienceDemonstrated experience working as a Demi ChefEffective leadership & communication skillsProblem solving, time management skills, delegation & guidance.Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene and Food Safety programKnowledge of customer dietary requirementsAccredited Food Safety Supervisor an advantageIndustry experience in high volume kitchen operations an advantageAble to work at any Village Roadshow Theme Park property as required
