You will manage a caseload of apprentices and trainees while working closely with host employers to create, sustain, and grow meaningful employment opportunities.Sitting within the Apprentice & Employment Services team and reporting to the AES Coordinator, you will combine business development, mentoring, and operational excellence to achieve solid outcomes across retention, completion,
and compliance.As the Apprentice & Employment Consultant, you will:Generate and manage apprenticeship and traineeship placements with new and existing host employersMentor, support, and engage apprentices and trainees throughout their employment lifecycleActively manage caseload performance, including recruitment, retention, completion, and placement targetsBuild strong relationships with employers, industry partners, and key stakeholdersIdentify host business needs and promote AGA services and solutionsMonitor apprentice and trainee attendance, performance, and welfare in collaboration with RTO teamsManage downtime and rotation of apprentices and trainees to maximise productivitySupport workplace health and safety initiatives and ensure safe systems of workAssist with reporting, operational improvements, and business development activitiesContribute to projects, recruitment activity, and community or industry engagement as requiredAbout youWe are seeking a proactive and people-oriented individual with the following background and attributes:Experience employing, supervising, or mentoring apprentices and traineesSound understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship systemStrong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholdersDemonstrated commitment to workplace health and safetyExcellent organisation, time management, and case management skillsAbility to work independently while contributing positively to a team environmentA genuine passion for supporting young people in the workplaceRequirementsApplicants must be eligible to work in Australia.
The successful applicant will be required to hold or obtain:Current Working with Children Check (Employment)National Police CheckValid Driver's Licence
