Brown Contractors is a Civil Contractor based in the Somerset Region that specializes in expert road construction and civil contracting.
Due to our continued growth, we have the requirement for a Graduate Engineer to join the team.
This role will be predominately site-based working with delivery teams to complete local council and TMR works.We encourage Site and Graduate Engineers who come from a rural background to apply for this role as key part of successfully completing this role will be liaising and integrating into a team of likeminded professionals.Site work typically starts at 6am and finishes at 5pm operating Monday to Friday.
Projects are generally in the Somerset and Burnett Council areas, so applicants should be prepared to be based in work-supplied accommodation during the week if they do not live locally.Site Engineers oversee the on-site activities for projects, manage construction operations, and ensure that plans and specifications are accurately implemented.
They are responsible for coordinating with the team, resolving technical issues, and monitoring progress to ensure successful project execution.ResponsibilitiesSupervise day-to-day construction activities to ensure they align with quality standards and project plansMaintain communication with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers to build relationshipsImplement quality control processes, conduct inspectionsEnsure all work conducted meet regulations and industry standardsMonitor and report on the progress of construction activitiesAssist with cost tracking and financial reporting on the selection of worksComplete and maintain detailed records of construction activities, budgets,
