What you'll be doingDesign and analyse civil and structural systems for industrial and government projects, utilising industry-standard engineering software and methodologiesPrepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation in accordance with relevant Australian standards and regulatory requirementsPrepare quality tender submission documents in collaboration with our sales teamPerform structural assessments and evaluations to ensure safety, integrity, and compliance with applicable codes and standardsCollaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project deliveryStay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and regulatory changes within civil and structural engineering disciplinesWhat we're looking forBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited institutionProfessional Engineer (PE) registration or eligibility for chartership with Engineers AustraliaMinimum 3 years' post-graduation experience in civil and/or structural engineering rolesDemonstrated expertise in structural analysis, design calculations, and the use of finite element analysis (FEA) softwareProficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and engineering modelling tools, and ability to produce quality CAD drawingsStrong knowledge of Australian Standards (AS/NZS) and National Construction Code (NCC) requirementsExperience with government projects, infrastructure development, or complex construction initiativesExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative engineering solutionsStrong written and verbal communication skills,



with the ability to prepare technical reports and present to senior stakeholdersProject management experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teamsCommitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices within engineering operationsPreferred: Experience in design of steel and concrete structures, road systems, etc.Highly regarded: Experience in the design of tensile membrane strucutres and shade structuresWhat we offerCentral Industries is committed to supporting the professional development and wellbeing of our employees.
