We're looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our People Excellence team.
In this role, you'll help ensure our people are paid accurately and on time while delivering a high-quality service experience across the business.Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll be responsible for end-to-end payroll administration, maintaining payroll data integrity, supporting compliance requirements, and responding to employee and stakeholder queries.
You'll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support key annual payroll processes.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong stakeholder relationships, and making a meaningful impact on employee experience.Key responsibilities include:Processing payroll accurately and on time in partnership with our outsourced payroll providerManaging employee lifecycle transactions including current starters, changes and terminationsMaintaining payroll records,
master data and payroll documentationReconciling payroll data across systems and supporting payroll-related paymentsEnsuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, policies and audit requirementsProviding payroll support and reporting to People & Culture, Finance and other stakeholdersManaging payroll queries and delivering a high level of customer serviceContributing to payroll projects, process improvements and self-service initiativesSupporting month-end activities, annual payroll processes and ad hoc reporting requirementsAbout youYou are a detail-oriented payroll professional who takes pride in delivering accurate outcomes and exceptional service.
You enjoy working collaboratively, can manage competing priorities, and have a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.We'd love to hear from you if you have:Experience managing end-to-end payroll processing within AustraliaExperience working with time and attendance systemsStrong knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance requirements and award interpretationA customer-first approach with excellent communication skillsStrong numerical and analytical skills, including advanced Excel capabilityExcellent attention to detail and the ability to manage high-volume workloadsA resilient,
positive and solutions-focused mindsetThe ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationOutsourcing experience and proficiency with ADP PayforceSAP experienceNew Zealand payroll knowledgeExperience with Superannuation and Payroll TaxYou're not an expert in all these areas, don't worry!
