The Role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Credit Officer to join our team.
The Credit Officer is responsible for reviewing and assessing credit applications, ensuring all applications meet company policies and regulatory standards.
This role focuses on supporting the sales function by delivering timely, accurate credit decisions while effectively managing risk.
Responsibilities
Review, and decision credit applications
Analyse financial statements, credit reports, and supporting documentation to determine customer creditworthiness
Monitor and manage credit risk by reviewing credit limits and identifying potential risks within submitted applications
Ensure all credit decisions comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Communicate credit decisions and feedback clearly to the sales team
Work closely with the sales team to resolve application queries and obtain additional information where required
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit applications and supporting documentation
Provide guidance to sales staff on credit requirements and application quality to improve submission standards
About you
Minimum of 1 years' experience in credit analysis or a similar role
Qualification in Finance (not essential, highly regarded)
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple applications and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with sales teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant credit/financial systems
Understanding of credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
