Due to continued growth, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our Canberra team based in Denman Prospect.
The Role
As a Dental Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting clinicians, creating a seamless patient experience, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.
Working closely with dentists and the wider clinical team, you'll assist across a variety of procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care, organisation, and infection control.
*Availability on Fridays and Saturdays is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting clinicians during a range of dental procedures
Preparing treatment rooms and patients for clinical treatment
Taking X-rays and dental impressions
Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical documentation




Sterilising instruments and ensuring infection control standards are maintained
Supporting patients with post-treatment care instructions
Assisting with scheduling, patient flow, and general clinical coordination
Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional clinical environment
Supporting the wider team to ensure a positive patient experience
About You
You're professional, team-oriented, and genuinely passionate about patient care.
You thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and take pride in delivering high-quality support to both patients and clinicians.
You'll bring:
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
Knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures
Confidence taking X-rays and impressions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
A proactive and supportive approach within a team environment
A solid understanding of patient confidentiality and professionalism
Highly Regarded
Experience within implant or surgical dentistry
Knowledge of dental practice management software
Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience
