About the roleDingle Smash Repairs is seeking a keen and dedicated Apprentice Panel Beater to join our team in Ayr, QLD ****.
This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in the automotive trades industry, specifically in panel beating and vehicle repair.
This is a full-time position that will provide you with hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals in a busy, professional workshop environment.
As an apprentice, you will work alongside our skilled panel beaters to learn the craft of vehicle body repair, restoration, and refinishing, whilst gaining nationally recognised qualifications.Key responsibilitiesAssisting experienced panel beaters with the removal and repair of damaged vehicle panels and body componentsLearning and practising panel beating techniques, including hammering, filing, and straightening proceduresPreparing vehicle surfaces for painting through grinding, sanding, and priming under supervisionUsing hand and power tools safely and appropriately, following all workshop health and safety protocolsSupporting the measurement and alignment of panels to ensure proper fitment and aestheticsMaintaining a clean and organised workshop environment and assisting with equipment maintenanceAttending training sessions and courses required to achieve apprenticeship competencies and qualificationsAssisting with vehicle inspections and documentation as requiredDeveloping knowledge of different vehicle types, materials,
