You'll interface daily with the client's rail-safety and engineering teams, protection officers, and QCCS Project Manager to keep works progressing without impacting rail operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise civil,



concrete and remediation work on and adjacent to the rail corridorPlan and execute works under track possessions, occupations and worksite protection arrangementsLead, mentor and manage Leading Hands and field crewEnforce WHS, rail-safety and environmental standards — inspections, audits, toolbox talks, pre-startsLiaise with the client's Rail Safety Workers, Protection Officers, engineers and PMsCoordinate subcontractors, plant hire and suppliersManage SWMS, ITPs, JSEAs and permit-to-work complianceTrack progress, resolve issues and report to QCCS Project ManagersMaintain daily reports, records and project documentationManage site resources, equipment and materialsWhat We Are Looking ForMust-haves:3+ years' experience as a Supervisor or Leading Hand delivering civil/concrete works, with demonstrated time working in and around the rail corridorWorking knowledge of track protection, possessions and worksite protection arrangements and how to plan works around themProven ability to work under a Rail Safety Management System, SWMS, JSEAs and ITPsStrong concrete experience – formwork, reo, placement, shotcrete and concrete remediationCivil delivery – detailed excavations, subgrade prep, trenching,



drainage and culvert install/maintenanceAbility to read and interpret engineering plans and specificationsStrong grasp of Workplace Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and environmental requirementsSolid communication, leadership and problem-solving skillsConstruction White Card and current Driver's LicenceAbility to pass a full pre-employment medical including D&A; and rail Cat 3 health assessmentHighly regarded:Formal qualifications in Civil Construction or Project ManagementCurrent Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card with the health/competency categories appropriate to Category 3Prior experience on Central Queensland coal-network or heavy-haul corridorsCert IV in WHS or equivalentWhy Join the QCCS Team?
