Logan Steel is seeking an experienced and qualified Crane Driver to join our team.
You will be responsible for operating cranes and lifting equipment to safely move materials and components across our construction and steel manufacturing operations.We mainly work a 50 hour week, Monday to Friday on sites around South-East Qld.An immediate start is available to the right applicant.Key responsibilitiesConducting pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks on crane equipment to ensure it is in safe working conditionCommunicating effectively with ground personnel, riggers and other team members using hand signals, radio communications and visual indicatorsPositioning loads accurately and safely at designated locations, taking into account site conditions and environmental factorsMonitoring load weights and ensuring they do not exceed crane capacity limitsRecording operational data, including hours worked, loads lifted and any incidents or equipment issuesAdhering to all health and safety regulations, company policies and industry best practices at all timesParticipating in toolbox meetings, safety briefings and ongoing training to maintain competency and awarenessReporting any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns or near-miss incidents to supervisors immediatelyWhat we're looking forMinimum C6 Licence,



HR Licence and Construction Induction White CardProven experience operating mobile cranes or similar heavy lifting equipment in construction or industrial environmentsStrong understanding of load charts, rigging procedures and safe lifting practicesAbility to work safely at heights and in challenging environmental conditionsStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamA commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards and a genuine passion for incident-free operationsPhysical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks as requiredFamiliarity with steel construction and manufacturing environments is highly desirableSomeone who is willing to get out of the crane and assist riggers when crane is not in useAbout usLogan Steel is a trusted name in the construction and steel manufacturing sector, with a reputation built on quality, safety and reliability.
