Neither are we.We're looking for a hands-on Duty Manager who loves the buzz of hospitality, leads from the front, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when the pressure is on.One minute you're welcoming a VIP guest, the next you're supporting a busy front desk, helping a conference run smoothly, resolving a guest concern, or leading the team through a sold-out weekend.
If variety, responsibility, and making a genuine impact are what get you out of bed in the morning, this could be your next move.As the senior leader on shift, you'll have full responsibility for the operation of our 199-room hotel, conference and events spaces, public areas, and guest experience.
You'll be trusted to make decisions, support your team, solve problems, and keep the hotel running smoothly while delivering the warm, professional service expected of a leading hotel.What you'll be getting up toNo two days are the same, but you can expect to:Be the go-to leader on shift, taking ownership of the hotel's day-to-day operationsLead a busy front office team and jump in wherever support is neededKeep the guest experience front and centre, ensuring service exceeds expectationsSupport conferences, events, group arrivals, and operational activities across the hotelConfidently manage guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery situationsMake decisions, solve problems, and keep calm when things get busyAct as the first point of contact for emergencies, incidents, and operational challengesPrepare detailed shift reports, incident reports,
and handovers that keep everyone informed and set the next shift up for successCoach, motivate, and develop team members to perform at their bestChampion our One Team culture by building strong relationships across all departmentsBe visible, approachable, and someone both guests and colleagues can rely onWhat you'll bringAt least 2 years' experience in a Duty Manager, Front Office Supervisor, or Guest Services leadership roleExperience working in a 4-star hotel setting or aboveStrong leadership skills and the confidence to manage a hotel operation independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparing reports and operational handoversA calm, practical approach when handling challenging situationsA genuine passion for people, service, and creating memorable guest experiencesExperience with Opera or similar hotel management systems (preferred)Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidaysWhat's in it for you?
