Still a family‐run business, Our Client proudly continues the original company legacy of integrity, expertise and excellence.What You Will Be DoingSupervising day‐to‐day workshop operations and leading a team of tradespeople, apprentices, and workshop personnelPlanning and coordinating labour, resources, and workflow to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirementsDriving a robust safety culture and ensuring compliance with WHS policies and proceduresMonitoring productivity, quality, and operational performance across the workshopInterpreting engineering drawings and manufacturing documentationIdentifying and resolving operational issues while maintaining workflow efficiencySupporting continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisationAssisting the Branch Manager with operational planning and workshop performanceWhat Will You Need?
Trade qualification in Mechanical, Fabrication, Boilermaking,
or a related Engineering disciplinePrevious experience in a Workshop Supervisor, Leading Hand, or similar leadership roleStrong understanding of workshop planning, scheduling, labour allocation, and resource managementProven ability to lead teams and deliver productivity, quality, and safety outcomesSound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety legislation and risk management practicesStrong leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skillsAbility to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentationComputer literacy with experience using ERP or manufacturing systemsCurrent Driver's LicenceCurrent Forklift Licence (essential)Dogging, Rigging, EWP, or other High Risk Work Licences highly regardedWhat's In It For You?
