Known for innovation and execution, the business continues to grow, and with that comes the need for accurate reporting and strong financial structures across multiple entities.This is more than a transactional Assistant Accountant role.
You'll gain exposure to a multi-entity group structure and work closely with the Chief Financial Controller and the broader leadership team.

The role is focused on:Month-end close & reportingIntercompany accounting & reconciliationsStatutory compliance & audit supportGeneral ledger integrity across multiple systemsWorking with an experienced transactional accounting team, you will:Support and execute the month-end close across multiple entitiesPrepare and post journals (accruals, prepayments,



adjustments)Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variancesAssist with monthly management reports, including commentary and insightsSupport the consolidation of group accounts and maintain the integrity of the general ledger across multiple business entitiesManage and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities - processing intercompany charges, cost allocations, and rechargesEnsure all accounting functions comply with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB)Support year-end financial reporting and external audit processesPerform bank reconciliations across multiple accountsSupport cash flow monitoring and reporting, and assist with revenue recognition in line with AASBProvide support across AP/AR functions when requiredAssist in documenting finance procedures, controls, workflows, and identifying process improvements across finance operationsSkills & ExperienceDegree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline2+ years' experience as an Accountant or Assistant Accountant working for a Public/Chartered Firm or electrical contracting/commercial building and construction companyExperience in a multi-entity environment (strongly preferred)Proven experience with Intercompany transactions & reconciliations, month-end processes & reporting and Balance sheet reconciliationsKnowledge of Australian statutory requirements (BAS, GST, compliance)Intermediate to advanced Excel skillsExperience with Xero, Simpro, COINS (by Aspect) or similar Accounting/ERP systemsPersonal AttributesHigh attention to detail and robust accuracyAbility to manage multiple entities, deadlines, and prioritiesProactive, hands-on and solutions-focused mindsetStrong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholdersDesire to learn, grow, and take ownership (CFO will assign new tasks as you develop in the role)If you're looking for a role where you'll gain real exposure, responsibility, and career progression in a growing business, this is the opportunity for you.
