As a Control Systems Engineer at Wave, you will apply your expertise from concept through to commissioning, supporting the design, development, and delivery of control system solutions for mining and heavy industrial projects.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors, you will deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose outcomes that are technically robust, safe, and commercially practical.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, design, and implement electrical and control system solutions for brownfield and greenfield projectsPrepare high-quality detailed design deliverables, including specifications, functional descriptions, schematics, and calculationsOptimise control philosophies, automation strategies, and system performance to deliver practical engineering solutionsCollaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project deliveryEnsure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, site requirements,



and safety obligationsSupport project delivery activities including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reportingEngage with clients and stakeholders to understand operational needs and deliver tailored engineering outcomesAbout YouYou are a technically capable and solutions-focused engineer with experience delivering control systems projects in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial environments.
You enjoy working across a variety of projects, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and take pride in delivering quality work.Skills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline5-10 years proven experience as a Control Systems Engineer, ideally within mining, minerals processing, and resources sectorStrong experience across PLC, SCADA, and automation platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, Citect, and PlantPAxExperience in electrical control systems design and integration across multiple project phasesConsultancy or EPCM experience will be highly regardedRPEQ (Electrical) is desirable, with support available for engineers pursuing registrationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyEffective communication skills and a strong commitment to technical quality, safety, and client serviceWhy Join Wave?
