Mechanical Fitter - Fixed Plant
Job Location: Pinkenba, QLD
Workfast is looking for Mechanical Fitters to join a Waste Management & Recycling Facility in Pinkenba, QLD.
This role will see you working on a range of fixed plant equipment within a waste management and recycling operation, completing preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and plant improvements.

We are actively seeking dedicated Mechanical Fitters to join our Waste Management & Recycling Team.
You will be part of a motivated crew working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out maintenance, repairs, and fault finding on fixed plant equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of plant and machinery
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete breakdown repairs efficiently
Work on equipment such as conveyors, shredders, screens,



pumps, gearboxes, and recycling plant machinery
Assist with plant upgrades, installations, and shutdown work when required
Ensure all work is carried out in line with site safety procedures and compliance standards
Maintain a clean and safe work workplace at all times
What You Bring to the Team:
Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights
Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner
Prior experience in a similar fixed plant, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industry maintenance role
Full Australian working rights
Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol test
A can-do attitude with a willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks when necessary
Professionalism and a commitment to team collaboration and workplace safety
