Reporting to the Concrete Production Manager, you will be responsible for the allocation, batching and yard work of the concrete plant when required in a safe and efficient manner.The position interacts closely with the Customer Service Centre, Concrete Plant Operations, Logistics and the Sales Team, and is a key position within the Concrete Team.




Safety must always be of the highest standard within the daily operations.Metromix is actively seeking applicants from candidates of all backgroundsKey Tasks/Responsibilities:Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOP)Provide input into the raw material requirements dailyAllocation of concrete trucks and batching of concrete through Command Series / Command BatchAllocations and Order taking for ConcreteCo-ordinate repair and calibration of plant equipmentSupervise day to day activities of a concrete plantSupervise maintenance contractorsOperation of a front-end loader.Operation of a forklift.Available to work SaturdaysImplement WHS and adhere to our SHEMS – Safety Health Environmental Management System and QMS - Quality management systemlearn and implementing fatigue management practices, load restraint and vehicle loading weight requirementsHowever to be successful for this role you must have;A strong safety focusA highly motivated personalityA high work ethicThe ability to work alone and in team settingsThe ability to work flexible schedule and in various locations as requiredStrong hard and soft skills, or the ability and willingness to be taught.Intermediate Computer SkillsA First Aid certificate or willing to undertake the trainingA Forklift License or willing to undertake the trainingA Working Heights certificate or willing to undertake the trainingA Confined Space certificate or willing to undertake the trainingA Competency to operate a front end loader or willing to undertake the training.The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screening.
