Health, Safety & Workplace Risk Advisor (HSE Risk Advisor)

We're looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Risk Advisor to partner with our operational leaders across our quarry, concrete and corporate operations.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands high-risk environments and enjoys working alongside people to improve safety, compliance and risk management outcomes.
About the Role
This is not a traditional HSE role.
We're not looking for someone to come in and "own" safety & environmental responsibilities.
Our leaders are accountable for HSE within their operations, and we're seeking a trusted advisor who can support, coach and guide them to achieve the best outcomes.
You'll work collaboratively with managers and frontline teams to identify risks, solve problems, strengthen compliance and continuously improve our safety systems and culture.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical HSE advice and support to leaders across the business.
Conduct audits, site inspections and risk assessments.
Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Assist with risk assessments, SWMS, procedures and safety documentation.
Coordinate and deliver toolbox talks and safety training where required.
Support rehabilitation and return-to-work processes.
Assist with ISO ***** &****** compliance and safety management systems.
Monitor legislative compliance across WHS, mining and quarrying operations.
Prepare safety reports, statistics and management updates.
Identify opportunities to improve safety performance and reduce risk.
About You




You are a team-oriented safety professional (preferably with some industry environmental management exposure) who influences through relationships, not authority.
You enjoy working with operational leaders to find practical solutions and build capability rather than simply directing what needs to be done.
To be successful, you will ideally have:
Experience in a WHS/HSE Advisor role within quarrying, mining, concrete, construction, manufacturing or a similar high-risk industry.
Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS and Mining & Quarrying legislation.
Experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to work autonomously while partnering effectively with operational teams.
Solid administration and computer skills.
Knowledge of Environmental legislation preferrable or alternatively the desire to learn
Desirable Qualifications
Certificate IV (or higher) in Workplace Health and Safety.
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (optional)
Auditor Training Certification (optional)
Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator qualification (optional)
Knowledge of ISO ***** & ****** (or willingness to learn).
