While we do not build complete vessels from scratch, our work plays an essential role in the construction and maintenance cycle - especially in hull preparation, surface finishing, material application, and detailed repair work for both luxury and commercial boats.Position OverviewWe are currently looking for an experienced Boat Builder & Repairer to join our skilled team.
In this role, you will assist with the construction and repair of vessels by supporting key phases such as hull preparation, fairing, assembly, and refinishing.You will work with a variety of materials and marine finishes to ensure top-tier workmanship and long-lasting results.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare hull surfaces through sanding, fairing, and filling to achieve optimal structural and aesthetic resultsAssist in the fitting and assembly of hull components and boat structures (e.g. frames, decks, supports)Perform repairs on damaged hulls and surfaces using appropriate marine-grade materials and techniquesApply fairing compounds, epoxy, fiberglass,



and protective coatings as requiredConduct refinishing tasks including varnishing, spray painting, and gelcoat repairCollaborate with boat builders and other tradespeople to support project deadlines and quality standardsSelect and work with materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, marine timber, and resinsEnsure work is carried out in accordance with environmental, health and safety protocolsDocument all repairs and finishes, maintaining clear records for quality assuranceRequired Skills & ExperienceProven experience in boat building, marine repair, or composite fabricationProficient with hand tools and power tools used in marine construction and finishingFamiliarity with fairing and finishing systems, including 2-pack and gelcoat productsAbility to read and interpret marine specifications and drawings is an advantageStrong attention to detail with a passion for high-quality craftsmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a cooperative teamPhysically fit and comfortable working in boatyards and under environmental controls
