Elden Street Medical is seeking an experienced, casual MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST for our busy 2 x GP family practice.
You will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the clinic/ reception.
Key responsibilities include:
Schedule appointments for patients, face to face and telephone
Assist with enquiries and patient support
Process patient billings and payments via TYRO
Managing filing, photocopying, and general administration duties
Workers compensation, recalls and processing incoming mail
Required knowledge and skills:
Knowledge of Best Practice Software
previous medical reception experience (minimum 6 months)
flexible and reliable (able to cover shifts at short notice)
team player with ability to work alone and unsupervised (some hours)
Robust commitment to task completion and follow up
An understanding of Medicare billing
Australian work rights are required for this position
