Business Development Manager – CoPack / FMCG / VFFS GrowthFairhaven Services is a long-established Social Enterprise, NDIS Registered Provider and Not-For-Profit organisation based on the Central Coast that is creating meaningful employment, training and support opportunities for people with disability.Through Fairhaven CoPack, we operate a growing social enterprise providing commercial manufacturing, packing and fulfilment services to businesses across food, beverage, health, wellness and consumer goods sectors.Our capability includes VFFS packing, dry blending, clean room packing, pick and pack, rework, repacking, fulfilment, warehousing and distribution.We are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with established FMCG, food manufacturing, contract packing, packaging or consumer goods relationships to help grow our CoPack customer base.This role has a clear priority:securing new recurring VFFS work and filling available VFFS capacity.About the RoleThis is a "new-business" focused role.You will be responsible for identifying, approaching and converting new commercial customers who need reliable contract packing, manufacturing, fulfilment or production support.The primary focus will be recent business growth, particularly opportunities that utilise our VFFS capability and generate repeatable, profitable production revenue.This is not a traditional account management role.
We are looking for someone who can open doors, activate existing industry relationships, qualify opportunities and work closely with operations to convert the right work into sustainable production.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business opportunities for Fairhaven CoPack.Target FMCG, food, beverage, health, wellness and consumer goods businesses requiring VFFS packing, contract packing or production support.Prioritise new opportunities that fill VFFS capacity and generate recurring revenue.Use existing industry relationships to open new commercial opportunities.Build and manage a qualified pipeline of new business prospects.Meet with prospective customers, understand their requirements and develop suitable solutions.Work with operations, quality, CoPack Manager and Co-CEO to scope,



price and convert new work.Preparation of proposals, quotes and customer service agreements.Ensure new business is commercially viable, operationally suitable and aligned with Fairhaven's capabilities.Represent Fairhaven professionally in market, industry and business networks.Contribute to the growth of meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability.About YouYou are a commercially minded business development professional with existing relationships across FMCG, food manufacturing, contract packing, packaging, fulfilment, health, wellness or consumer goods sectors.You will bring an established network of relevant industry contacts and the confidence to open doors with business owners, procurement teams, operations managers, production managers, brand owners and supply chain decision-makers.You will have a track record of converting relationships into new business, not just maintaining existing accounts.Existing FMCG, food manufacturing, contract packing, packaging or consumer goods industry relationships.Proven ability to generate new business from an established commercial network.Experience selling into or working with food, beverage, health, wellness, packaging, manufacturing, fulfilment or supply chain businesses.Solid understanding of customer needs relating to contract packing, production support, packaging, fulfilment or outsourced manufacturing.Ability to qualify opportunities based on revenue, margin, operational fit and repeat work potential.Confidence engaging directly with business owners, procurement leads, operations teams and senior decision-makers.Demonstrated ability to build a new-business pipeline and convert opportunities into revenue.Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.A practical,



hands-on approach and willingness to work closely with operations.Alignment with Fairhaven's purpose of creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability.Highly regarded:Existing relationships with FMCG brands, food producers, health and wellness brands, distributors, wholesalers, contract manufacturers or packaging suppliers.Experience with VFFS, dry blending, clean room packing, pick and pack, rework, repacking or fulfilment services.Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, quality systems or production environments.What We Offer$100,000 base salary plus superannuation.Performance incentive of up to $15,000 per annum linked to new-business growth, VFFS utilisation and profitable recurring revenue.Generous NFP salary packaging benefits that may increase your take-home pay.Central Coast-based role with no requirement for regular Sydney or Newcastle commuting.Opportunity to grow a commercial social enterprise with real community impact.Supportive executive and operational team.A role where commercial success directly contributes to meaningful employment for people with disability.Performance IncentiveThe performance incentive is designed to reward genuine new-business growth, with a robust focus on filling VFFS capacity.The annual incentive opportunity is up to $15,000 and is weighted toward:new non-VFFS CoPack revenue;gross margin and contribution margin;quality of pipeline and signed repeat work.The incentive is deliberately weighted toward VFFS because this is the priority growth area for the role.
Up to 70% of the annual incentive is linked to securing new recurring VFFS revenue.Broader CoPack opportunities are still recognised, but the primary measure of success is profitable new VFFS work that fills available machine capacity.Why Join Fairhaven?
