As aMining Engineer,you'll work closely with a team of experienced professionals to plan, monitor and optimise underground mining operations.
This is a hands‐on role where your contributions will directly support safe, productive and cost-effective outcomes.
Roster
This role will be based onsite in Cobar, NSW working an 8/6 days FIFO roster from Brisbane or Sydney with local candidates highly regarded.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement drill and blast plans
Stope design, optimisation and reconciliation.
Provide technical input into daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans
Monitor development and production performance
Providing technical support and troubleshooting
Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure plan compliance
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent
Demonstrated underground hard rock mining experience is essential
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proven ability to work in a fast‐paced, team‐oriented environment
Exposure to mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Surpac) will be highly regarded

About the Team
Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities.
In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project.

CSA, one of Australia's longest operating copper mines, has a history dating back almost 150 years.
